Ray Wilson, ex-vocalist of Genesis, has just released a new album Unfulfillment, together with his band Stiltskin. The album was released after a 6 year break and the artist is currently also on tour. On Sunday evening, October 16th, Ray returned to the Lizard King Music Club in Cracow to perform again. The concert began with an unexpected support of Ali Ferguson, one of Ray’s band guitarists, who played a couple of songs from his first solo-album called “The Windmills And The Stars” which was a very good idea to prepare an audience for the main dish. Ray hit the stage afterwards and took the audience on a musical trip with extraodrinary, powerful version of “Congo” with the bangoos, smooth “Not About Us,” heavy version of “Calling All Stations” with the killer riff of Uwe Metzler, Stiltskin “Inside” or last hit single “American Beauty.” People had a great time listening Ray’s funny comments regarding the present song; like about pretty ex-girlfriend with an always-sad-face before “Goodbye Baby Blue” or a missing plane on Malaga because of hangover as an inspiration of “The Airport Song.” Personally I enjoyed the rhythm section done by MacMillan’s brothers – Lawrie (Bass) and Ashley (Drums). It wouldn’t be fair not to mention about the pianist Filip Walcerz who made an incredible atmosphere of the show and two very pretty violin-players Alicja and Basia, who made a great music support for the band and which are already well-known because of the famous TV-program, Chance for Success. Almost two hours of the show were gone like that and all the fans left the club satisfied – especially the female audience, hypnotized by the voice of the main star of the evening. ’till next time!
